1939 Company established with the name “Yamamaru Seiyaku.”
1944 Company established with the name “Yamamaru Seiyaku.”
1950 Succeeded in extracting and separating cystine from natural proteins.
1953 Began mass production of Cystine.
L-Cystine used as additive in dry milk for infants.
1962 Began construction of main plant in Ashikaga City, Tochigi Prefecture.
1971 Ministry of Health and Welfare approved L-Cysteine as an additive for perm solutions.
1983 Obtained manufacturing patents for DL-Cysteine and Cystine.
1985 Received the Clean Japan Center’s Chairman’s Award for contributing to the reuse of resources.
Succeeded at optically resolving synthetic cystine.
1987 Underwent first GMP inspection of US FDA.
1999 Completed new head office building.
2004 Obtained ISO 14001 certification.
2005 Underwent first GMP inspection of German regional authorities.
2009 Underwent second GMP inspection of German regional authorities.
2011 Underwent first GMP inspection of Korean FDA.
2018 Underwent eighth GMP inspection of US FDA.
